EnShade

The temporary thermal insulation of structural glazing, which is currently available on the market, still requires considerable optimisation. 

To significantly improve the total energy balance of industrial and community buildings with large glass façade surfaces, the Institute for Lightweight Structures and Energy Efficiency initiated the project

Product and process development of an innovative multi-functional sun protection-insulation-PV-system in lightweight structure in order to achieve highly efficient energetic insulation of glazed building openings with integrated solar power generation.  

As project partner Elmtech Verbundelemente makes a significant contribution due to its expertise and long-term experience in the field of manufacturing insulation panels and façade elements.  

The project is supported by the European Regional Development Fund.
